Nowadays, getting into photography is as simple as A-B-C. Camera technology has allowed virtually anyone to point and shoot and call themselves photographers. Only some dig deeper into the art and find a discipline to pursue. NY-based nature photographer Evan Dombroski shares five simple reasons to dive into the world of nature photography.

The freedom that nature photography offers is relatively inexpensive. It expands the horizons of a photographer literally and figuratively. The nature provides new perspectives for a person and new vantage points for photographers. There is so much to explore outdoors that nature photography is a dynamic choice for the art.

Often, serious nature photographers meet with other nature photographers on a trip. Passion is shared with each other. On top of that, when they publish the photos from their trips, nature photographers can inspire others to get into nature photography as well. It’s an incredible feeling to share something passionate about and tag others along for the ride.

Most nature photography enthusiasts keep day jobs, shares Evan Dombroski, which makes their hobby an ideal escape from the their day-to-day tasks. With something to look forward to on the weekends, they get back to work on Monday refreshed and ready to face any tough challenges they might be handed throughout the workweek.
